Are you trying to quit smoking with nicotine replacement therapy, or NRT (e.g. gums, sprays, or patches)? NRT2Quit could give you expert support! Visit www.NRT2Quit.co.uk for more information.

At University College London we are developing new tools for stop smoking apps, and we invite smokers wanting to quit smoking with nicotine products (NRT) to test them. Joining the study will take you only 5 minutes, and involves answering some questions on the app about yourself and your NRT to help personalise the support for your benefit and help us correctly evaluate the app in the study.

**NRT2Quit**
NRT2Quit offers you a guided 8-week programme through a quit attempt with NRT. The app is designed to help smokers prepare and get through an attempt at quitting using one or two nicotine products combined, e.g. a patch together with lozenges. It was developed by specialists in stopping smoking, stop smoking medicines, and mHealth from UCL and with expert advice from the National Centre for Smoking Cessation and Training (NCSCT).

The app is intended for adult, otherwise healthy, UK-based daily smokers (smoking min. 10 cig/day), who have no contraindications for NRT, who have bought without prescription at least one NRT to quit smoking, and would be interested to set a Quit Date (after which they would try not to smoke) within 2 weeks of downloading the App. This version of the app is not suitable for pregnant or breastfeeding women, and it may be unsuitable for smokers with certain medical conditions who cannot use NRT. Consult the patient leaflet or speak to your pharmacist if you are unsure if you can use NRT.

*Example features include:*
- Advice and features for setting the Quit Date
- Advice on your NRT use
- Advice and support for the first 8 weeks of quitting
- Tools to help you monitor your progress
When you join the study you may get access to different features and advice to help you quit and use NRT.

*The Study*
NRT2Quit is available as part of a new study at UCL. The study has been approved by UCL Research Ethics Committee. All data is collected and processed in accordance with the Data Protection Act (1998) and will be used only for the purpose of this study and research on quitting smoking using apps.
